Letter From The President

Dear Friend of Manna of Life Ministries,

As the holiday season approaches, we at Manna are reaching out with hearts full of hope and a mission that grows more crucial daily. Here in the Bronx, our faith-based organization has been a beacon of light, providing food, support, and prayer to thousands of families in need. This year, we have an ambitious yet achievable goal: to “adopt” 500 families for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, ensuring they can celebrate with dignity and joy.

To put this goal in perspective, we serve around 900 families weekly through our food distribution program. In 2024 alone, we fed over 152,000 neighbors. Our dedicated staff and volunteers, who witness the need firsthand, have carefully considered this holiday initiative. These numbers represent real families, each typically consisting of 4-6 family members who turn to us in their time of need.

However, we face significant challenges. This past year has tested our resources like never before:

  • Operational costs have risen dramatically
  • Food donations from government sources have decreased
  • The need in our community continues to grow

Despite these obstacles, our commitment remains unwavering. We believe that with your help, we can make this holiday season truly meaningful for our neighbors.
